A Family Legacy Of Flavor, Tradition, And Community

Where Our Story Began

Where Our Story Began

D. Fong’s Chinese Cuisine opened in Savage on July 11th, 1996, led by David Fong, Jr., continuing a family journey that began decades earlier. His parents, David Sr. and Helen Fong, started their dream in 1958 with a small carry-out that grew into a Bloomington landmark. That spirit of perseverance, family teamwork, and pride shaped every generation. D. Fong’s of Savage proudly carries that same legacy forward.
Food Rooted In Tradition

Food Rooted In Tradition

Our food reflects generations of experience and respect for classic Chinese cooking styles. Inspired by the recipes and techniques passed down through the Fong family, each dish is prepared with care and consistency. The focus has always been on balanced flavors, quality ingredients, and satisfying meals. It’s comfort food built on decades of learning and love for the craft.
More Than A Restaurant

More Than A Restaurant

D. Fong’s has always been about more than serving great food. Supporting local schools, youth sports, and community events is part of who we are. We’re proud to be a gathering place where neighbors connect and families return year after year. When you choose D. Fong’s, you’re supporting a tradition built on family, community, and genuine hospitality.
